CATERING FOR CARP FISHING IN SOUTH WEST FRANCE

The tranquil location gives this privately owned lake its name.  It is in the sought after Haute Vienne region of France near Limoges.  The lake size provides private carp fishing for a maximum of four anglers at any one time and will live up to all your expectations.  The cost for one weeks fishing is  £200 per person per week.  The whole lake may be booked by less anglers by prior arrangement.  Day fishing on request and subject to availability.  At present our largest carp weigh in at just over 40 lbs and this is reflected in the value for money price

GENERAL INFORMATION

The lake is situated about a 6/7 hour drive from Calais and Limoges airport is conveniently situated 20 minutes away.

All fishing is to the far side margins which is tree lined with overhangs and features.  The swims also provide ample shade for anglers if required during the day.

The owners will be on hand to offer advice and information in order to enhance your stay at Lac Tranquille.

GUIDELINES

There are no Poison Chat and very few crayfish so you can use small or soft baits without any problem.

As the carp are always on the move around the lake I have found that feeding on a little but often basis is better than piling the bait in.  10 kilos of boilies and a 25 kilo bag of Carp pellets should be sufficient for a week's holiday.

The rigs that you use in the UK will work well at Lac Tranquille.  Pop ups do work, however I have found that bottom baits or snowman rigs produce better results.
